Starlight founded this herd of shooting-star horses to honor the virtue of curiosity. The horses of Herd Starlight love to ask questions and aren't afraid to keep looking for answers, no matter where their search takes them. Horses who follow their curiosity and discover important things may be granted the Order of Starlight and invited to join the nobility of this great herd. ^[1]^[2]

Herd Starlight is mainly composed of horses with a connection to the cosmos. Some appear to ride among the stars and planets, while others are named after constellations and heavenly bodies.

Herd Pendant[]

When Sigga Rolanddotter became the valkyrie of North of North, Sara gifted each herd founder a magical pendant that would allow them to communicate with each other and Sigga. ^[3] Herd Starlight's pendant is the Starstone, worn by Starlight herself.

The Starstone has the ability to allow humans to speak with animals and horses. ^[4] The Starstone Otter kept the pendant safe when Herd Starlight went into hiding after Sigga's banishment, and eventually gave the pendant to Emma Roland so she could summon Starlight and her herd back home. ^[5]
